Developing a drug inhibitor for mutant protein?

let's say i've found a mutant form of the protein amyloid, a form that aggregates into clumps that dysrupt neuronal function. once i find that form, how can i develop a drug that counteracts it/ inhibits it? please discuss relevant technology, devices, protocols that are involved in your answer.. thanks!!!
