Entering mexico with a US visa?

Hey everyone, im planning on going to Cancun this spring break! I'm from Bahrain and it is required to obtain a visa to go to mexico since im from Bahrain (American citizens dont need a visa if they are planning to stay less than 6months). I was just wondering if its possible to go there if i got an american visa though(I got a B2*tourist* visa and an F1*student*visa for the USA. Will I still need a Mexican visa to go there?
